about.
As an interdisciplinary performance & visual artist, I experience art-making to be a process of weaving & meandering through different ways of knowing-through-making.
I'm inspired by the inseparable connections between body, voice, sense-of-self,
movement, human-relationships & the cycles of nature.
My work has spanned across outdoor site-specific productions,
performance-art installations, immersive theatre collaborations, song & poetry writing,
Butoh-inspired solos, clown-comedy, screen-dance & visual arts.
Somatic engagement with my BodySelf is a primary tool for discovering experientially,
what it means to be human, here on earth, at this moment in history.
Metaphor & meaning become imaginal tools for emergent songlines,
ink shapes & collage, which act as abstract forms for thinking.
Vocal-Movement Improvisations evolve & become statements or invitations.
Audience are participants in these explorations, offering their perspective, engagement & presence before, during or after the 'happening'.
My offerings are installations to be explored, worlds of questioning & provocation, spaces to interact with, to recognise oneself within, to emerge with a laugh & an insight.
I’m a Voice Movement Integration Somatic Practitioner, currently developing a vocal-somatic healing & performing arts program for both professional & amateur dancers/performers to benefit from a detailed enquiry into an experiential knowing of their bodyself.
